I have loved filmmaking since I was a 10-year-old who drew storyboards of action stories I dreamt of directing (after watching too many James Bond movies).
Twelve years later, this is where my filmmaking education and experience stands: I just graduated with a BFA in Film & Television from NYU Tisch in May 2024, created an award-winning miniseries with 12 Award Nominations ("The Powers That Be"), and co-wrote a short documentary with leading French company ZED selected at seven festivals.
My work brings a touch of absurdist humor into the mundane anxieties of coming-of-age and family dramas - a reflection of how real life can be both frustratingly sad and ridiculously silly. My goal is to explore these two extremes to entertain and bring comfort to any viewer and myself.
My latest short, “Tommi's New Voice,” was officially selected at the Los Angeles Italia, Film, Fashion, and Art Festival and is currently in the festival circuit. It was a huge honor to be featured in this wonderful event representing the two countries I call home - I was born and raised in Italy and then moved to the USA at 16 to finish high school and study filmmaking.
I deeply believe that art can cross international and cultural barriers, so please reach out from wherever you are. I look forward to connecting and working with filmmakers from all around the world!
